Short Term Accommodation (Respite)

What is Short Term Accommodation (Respite)?
Short Term Accommodation, often called respite, provides a temporary place to stay with support workers on hand to help you with daily living tasks and community access. It gives you a change of scenery and social connection, while also giving your informal supports (like family or carers) time to rest and recharge.
In Green Valley respite, you can:
- Stay in a comfortable, fully furnished home with your own bedroom and shared living spaces.
- Receive help with personal care, meals, medications and daily routines so you feel safe and relaxed.
- Enjoy activities that match your interests, such as walks, outings, games or quiet time, at your own pace.

What is Medium Term Accommodation?
Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) provides a temporary home for a longer period, usually up to 90 days, while you are waiting for your long-term housing or support arrangements to be finalised. This might be while your SIL home is being prepared, after a hospital stay, or during a transition between services.

With Green Valley MTA, you receive:
- A stable, supportive environment where your daily needs are met while you focus on your next steps.
- Support to attend appointments, keep in touch with your support network and prepare for your future living arrangement.
- Coordination with your NDIS planner, support coordinator and other providers so your transition is as smooth as possible.
