Getting started with Green Valley Support Services is designed to feel like a guided conversation, not a complicated application, with our team beside you from first contact to the start of supports.

The process begins when you or someone on your behalf shares a referral with us online or over the phone, including key details about the participant, current situation and preferred supports so our intake team can check capacity and service fit.

We then arrange a welcome conversation where we listen to what matters most to you – your goals, routines, safety needs and communication preferences – and explore your NDIS plan, suitable supports and likely timeframes.

Our team turns this understanding into a clear service outline and agreement explaining which supports will be delivered, who will be involved, how often, and what the start date and responsibilities will be.

Once supports begin, we schedule regular check‑ins and reviews so services remain safe, respectful and effective, updating your plan with Green Valley whenever your needs, goals or circumstances change.

What is an NDIS plan?

An NDIS plan is a personalised document that outlines your goals, the types of supports you need, and the funding the National Disability Insurance Scheme has approved to help you achieve those goals. It is created with you and your support network, and it can be reviewed and adjusted as your needs or circumstances change.

What types of services does GVSS provide?

GVSS provides a range of NDIS supports including help with daily personal activities, development of life skills, support with daily tasks in shared living, and assistance with community access and participation. Services are tailored around your goals, whether that is increasing independence at home, building confidence in the community, or managing more complex health and support needs.

Who is eligible to access your services?

Our services are available to people who have an approved NDIS plan and funding for the supports we provide, including core and capacity-building supports. GVSS primarily supports participants living in the Hunter Region and Lake Illawarra areas, and can also work with families, carers and support coordinators who are helping to manage an NDIS plan.

What area does GVSS operate in?

GVSS delivers services across the Hunter Region and Lake Illawarra, with a focus on surrounding Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland and nearby communities. If you are unsure whether your suburb is included, you can contact our team and we will confirm availability or discuss flexible options.

What is the cost of services?

GVSS aligns its pricing with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, so most supports are billed at standard NDIS rates. Before services begin, we explain the costs in clear language and provide a service agreement, so you know exactly how your funding will be used and what to expect.

What mental health and disability support can I get?

Depending on your NDIS plan, you may be able to access supports such as daily living assistance, skill-building programs, support with appointments and community activities, and help to live more independently at home or in shared living. Our experienced team works alongside you, your family and other providers to ensure your supports are safe, person-centred and focused on your wellbeing and long-term goals.
